Day Two: I Parked Your Mom in Harvard Yard

What a 4th of July! Dom and I stopped in Boston for what I was told would be the "best Independence Day celebration in the country."

New Photos in the Album:

We made it to the Esplanade by 8:20 AM, waited in line for half an hour, grabbed a spot some distance from the stage, and parked our butts on the blanket until the show started twelve hours later.

The weather decided to have some fun, too. First, it was warm. Then, it became hot. Next, it rained for a bit before returning to hot. Thankfully, we survived and made it through to the show.

The Boston Symphony Orchestra is truly amazing. They played with such ease and grace. Later, Rockapella joined them. Yes, the *same* a cappella group from the Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego TV show. In fact, they even played the theme song during a commercial break. Yeah, it was *glorious*. I hate to say it, but I was really looking forward to Rockapella than the main performers: Aerosmith's Steven Tyler and Joe Perry. It's true.

Anyway, the performances were followed by 23 minutes of fireworks, and that summed up an entire day that *I think* was worth the eleven hour day outdoors. (Twelve and a half if you count getting out of the parking garage.)

Again, there are new photos in the album. These photos include "Lamb and Pig" who will be making appearances across the nation.

I'm exhausted... Good night!
